Tradeteam is the second European Transport Company of the Year

Tradeteam was awarded the title of European Transport Company of the Year 2010in Brussels on Thursday February 11th. It follows Dutch company Van Maanen, who won the first edition of the contest in 2009. Thirteen candidates lined up from thirteen countries at the end of 2009, and six of them were chosen as Nominees by the jury: International Lazar Company (Romania), Nuss Spedition (Germany), Nybro Transport (Sweden), Tradeteam (England), Van Dievel (Belgium) and Van Gansewinkel (Netherlands). The second and third places go respectively to Van Dievel and International Lazar Company. The European Transport Company of the Year Award was designed to find the best case studies throughout Europe, to highlight the work that international transporters carry out, and especially to share best practices and inspire others. He jury is made up of editors-in-chief of leading European transport magazines and experts in various fields.


Truck Europe Forum 2010

Nearly 70 transport companies and experts from all around Europe have joined the second edition of the Truck Europe Forum. Focussed on the future trends in road transport, the first session has allowed the peers to share and discussed their experience and challenges. The second session, “Changing Customer Relations in a Post-Crisis World”, has also been a match for the attendees’ expectations.

For the very first time, Truck Europe has rewarded excellence in transport management with the European Transport Company of the Year award. This competition is open to all road transport operators in Europe. It focuses on all aspects of their management: CRM, Fleet Management, HR, Safety, IT and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Twelve road transport operators were nominated for the European Transport Company of the Year 2009 competition. Six companies have been selected by the jury to take part in the second round which took place on May 7th in Amsterdam within the context of the Truck Europe Forum.

The first winner of this award, unveiled during the evening dinner closing the forum, in the presence of road transport professionals from all around Europe, is the Dutch transport company Van Maanen.
